A keynote by Rupert Wegerif sparked reflection and global dialogue on AI\u2019s broader impact on education.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"808\">What if AI became a strategic tool for program leaders to design, shape, and analyze curricula?<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"1133\">AI introduces new challenges \u2014 academic integrity, plagiarism, bias, misinformation, privacy, and ethical concerns \u2014 alongside opportunities to empower faculty and students. As we explore these dynamics, a question arises: <strong data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1133\">Can AI assist curriculum designers using the DECART curriculum template and its nine components?<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1249\">AI offers powerful capabilities to support curriculum development by:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1516\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1308\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1308\">Structuring and organizing intended learning outcomes<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1370\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1370\">Aligning outcomes with teaching and assessment strategies<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1420\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1420\">Identifying content overlaps and redundancies<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1466\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1466\">Sequencing topics for logical progression<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1516\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1516\">Mapping gaps and misalignments across modules<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"1655\">This accelerates <strong data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1557\">curriculum mapping<\/strong> and enhances <strong data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1584\">coherence<\/strong> across programs, making design processes more efficient and impactful.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1858\">Could a future <strong data-start=\"1715\" data-end=\"1727\">DECART 2<\/strong> project harness AI for <strong data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1772\">rapid prototyping<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1809\">iterative curriculum refinement<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1815\" data-end=\"1857\">international curriculum harmonization<\/strong>?<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"2060\">By investigating prompt engineering and AI-assisted curriculum modeling, DECART could enable smarter tools for educational innovation \u2014 fostering more agile, adaptive, and aligned learning ecosystems.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2062\" data-end=\"2156\">Stay tuned: Exploring AI-powered curriculum design might just be the next big step for DECART.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AI as a Tool for Eductional Program Designers?
