DECART Project Presented at Inaugural IAU Community of Practice Symposium in South Africa<\/strong><\/p>\n

In May 2025, Cecile Gerwel Proches and Angela James<\/strong> from Work Package 3 (WP3) of the DECART Project, representing the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)<\/strong>, delivered a presentation on the project and WP3 activities to date at the Inaugural Innovation for African Universities (IAU) Community of Practice Symposium<\/strong>. The event took place at the Salt Rock Hotel<\/strong> in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The symposium brought together university leaders, educators, and strategic partners to advance innovation in higher education. Hosted by Professor Thea van der Westhuizen<\/strong>, Academic Leader at the UKZN School of Commerce and IAU CoP South African Lead, the event was organised in collaboration with the British Council<\/strong> and education technology firm getTWOit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Participants included representatives from five institutions:<\/p>\n

    LIV Village<\/strong>, a local youth development organisation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
