Mathematics) curricula within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).<\/b> Authored by UKZN academics Angela James, Cecile Gerwel Proches, and Macdonald Kanyangale, alongside Valentina Dagien\u0117 and Egl\u0117 Jasut\u0117 (Vilnius University, Lithuania), and Roger Waldeck (IMT Atlantique, France), the study focused on <b>&#8220;The Role of Leadership in Curriculum Transformation: Implications for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics in Higher Education.&#8221;<\/b><\/p><p>The research reveals that effective HEI leadership fosters curriculum transformation by providing crucial support and clear direction, motivating and engaging staff, and securing essential funding. The study emphasizes that successful leaders in this context don&#8217;t just enforce policies; they <b>engage, inspire, and strategically plan for meaningful change<\/b>, guiding academics and students toward an integrated and holistic approach to science education. The research underscores the challenge of balancing institutional constraints with innovation and vision with execution.
