Paria joined Toronto Metropolitan University from an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship position at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA. During her PhD, she was awarded the FRQNT Doctoral Scholarship. Paria received her Ph.D. degree in information systems engineering from Concordia University.
