Submit an Invited Session or Track

PaperCept is powerful, but its submission menu is not very intuitive. This page tells you exactly what to prepare, where to click and which contribution type to select.

First: choose what you are proposing

This determines the exact line you must select in PaperCept.

An invited session

A focused session built around a coherent scientific theme. INCOM invited sessions normally bring together a small set of closely related papers.

An open thematic track

A broader topic advertised to the community. Authors can submit papers to the track using the PaperCept code assigned after the proposal is registered.

Use the INCOM terminology shown here. For INCOM 2027, an invited-session proposal must be submitted through Invited Session Proposal. Use Open Track Session Proposal for an open track.

Prepare your proposal

Have these elements ready before opening PaperCept.

Clear scientific title for the invited session or open track.

Organizer(s)
Names, institutions and contact emails.

✓

Keywords
5–8 keywords describing the scientific scope.

✓

Short description
A concise presentation of the scope, motivation and expected contributions.

Submit it in PaperCept

Follow these four screens. You do not need to search through the portal.

    Open the IFAC PaperCept portal

    Initial submissions do not require you to log in first. You will nevertheless need a PaperCept PIN for the people involved.

    Scroll to “INCOM 2027”

    Look for 19th IFAC Symposium on Information, Control and Optimisation in Manufacturing, Nantes, 28–30 June 2027.

    Click “Submit a contribution to INCOM 2027”

    Do not click Log in just to start a first submission. The submission link is the route to the contribution-type table.

    Choose Invited Session Proposal for an invited session or Open Track Session Proposal for an open track.

After submission: keep the PaperCept code

This code is essential for the authors who will submit papers to your invited session or open track.

Proposal submittedPaperCept registers your proposal.

Share the callAuthors use that code when submitting.
Important Papers belonging to an approved invited session or open track are submitted separately. The current INCOM deadline for papers in invited sessions/open tracks is 14 December 2026.
