UKZN DECART Team Presents at The Inaugural Innovation for African Universities (IAU) Community of Practice Symposium

DECART Project Presented at Inaugural IAU Community of Practice Symposium in South Africa
In May 2025, Cecile Gerwel Proches and Angela James from Work Package 3 (WP3) of the DECART Project, representing the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), delivered a presentation on the project and WP3 activities to date at the Inaugural Innovation for African Universities (IAU) Community of Practice Symposium. The event took place at the Salt Rock Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa.
The symposium brought together university leaders, educators, and strategic partners to advance innovation in higher education. Hosted by Professor Thea van der Westhuizen, Academic Leader at the UKZN School of Commerce and IAU CoP South African Lead, the event was organised in collaboration with the British Council and education technology firm getTWOit.
Participants included representatives from five institutions:
